Mobile devices usage: DeviceType and DevicePlatform

You may have noticed two fields related to the tracking of mobile devices usage in our daily exported CSVs: DeviceType and DevicePlatform.

These fields can be found in the ClickLog file.

These fields contain integer values and here are the enums that define these values.

Note that for DeviceType, “Unknown” is basically the same as “Desktop” right now (we do not have any explicit detection for various desktops in place at this time so they all go to Unknown).
Also note that this is all subject to change, as this is being worked on, so do not create anything “permanent” based on these values please.
